Every 4th Uber Ride Free (up to $20/Ride, $300 Total) for New Westpac Choice Customers

Long time reader first time poster. My girlfriend received an email from Uber today with a link to this deal.

The terms say "customers must be invited and apply via the promotional landing page", but it's a generic application page, so new customers should be fine. Shame I am already a Westpac customer!

From the application page:
Every 4th Uber ride on us. Take up our special Uber offer(up to $20 value), until 30 September 2017 when you pay using your linked Westpac Debit MasterCard. Maximum total value of $300 of free rides to be claimed in the offer period. Open on mobile or online by 31 March 2017.

Terms: To be eligible for this offer, customers must be invited and apply via the promotional landing page, open a new Westpac Choice account and register their new linked Westpac Debit MasterCard as their payment option on their Uber account. Westpac will cover up to $20 for every 4th Uber ride paid for using the new Westpac Debit MasterCard card until 30th September 2017 ("Offer Period"). Maximum of $300 in rides per customer during the Offer Period. You will be notified in the Uber app when the promotion has been activated on your Uber account. Valid for Uber rides in Australia only. Excludes uberTAXI. If ride cost exceeds $20, the remaining balance will be charged to your Westpac Debit MasterCard. Offer may be withdrawn or extended at any time. Not available to existing Westpac Debit MasterCard holders. The promotion will end at the end of the Offer Period or when the maximum of $300 in free rides has been taken by the eligible customer. To apply for a Westpac Debit MasterCard, you must have an Australian residential address and be at least 18 years old. Read the Westpac Debit MasterCard Terms and Conditions provided above before deciding whether the account is appropriate for you.

Westpac Home Loan 2-year Fixed Rate 3.88% + $0 Upfront Fees + $395 Annual Fees + Owners & Investors

Westpac announced a new fixed rate 3.88%, that is available for both owner-occupiers and investors, paying principal and interest. This is under their Premier Package, and it comes with no upfront fees, and a $395 annual fee. As rates may change between application and settlement, its worth considering paying the rate-lock fee of 0.1%.

Rate reverts to a higher rate when the two years run out, but the bank or brokers should be able to give you a better deal than the rack rates.

While a fair few deals have been in the market for fixed rates, most target owner-occupiers and borrowers with higher deposit. This particular offer is available for people who have greater than 80% LVR (but you may have to pay LMI), and available for investors. Definitely a good deal for a risk-adversed investor who wants to lock in a low rate for the next two years

$20 Reward from Westpac When New Choice Account Linked with Mathspace Plus Account

A bit of work, but thought I would share anyway, more useful if you actually want to use Mathspace Plus.

My understanding is,
1. open a Westpac Choice account for the studen who will use Mathspace Plus.
2. subscribe to Mathspace Plus for $10 per week. there maybe a free trial period.
3. link the two accounts
4. successfully complete weekly maths task to get $10 reimbursed
5. All new Choice customers will get a $20 reward from Westpac
6. repeat step 4 still you receive the $20 reward and can cancel the subscription.

T&C
*The $10 reward for successful completion of weekly maths tasks is not available during a user’s free trial period.
**Offer available to customers who open an individual Westpac Choice account and who have not held an individual Choice account in the last 12 months prior to account opening. Customers must link their eligible Westpac Choice account to their Mathspace Plus account within 31 days of opening the bank account. WBC Altitude Black CC Reduced 1st Annual Fee $195, 80,000 QFF Points + Additional 20,000 Bonus on Approval (8wks)

It is time to for me to ditch the ANZ ($75,000- no 1st annual fee deal) for the next 12 months. This deal which started yesterday shows up on Qantas and I am considering it:

I think you must apply through the Qantas site.

The bonus points promotion is available when you apply for a new Westpac Altitude Black card between 4 September and 26 October 2017, choose Altitude Qantas as your rewards program on the card. The bonus Qantas Points will be credited to your points balances as follows: 20,000 point within 8 weeks of card approval and 80,000 points within 12 weeks after the eligible spend criteria being met. Spend criteria is a minimum amount of $5,000 on eligible purchases within 90 days from card approval. Eligible purchases do not include fees, cash, cash equivalent transactions, BPAY, refunds and balance transfers debited from the card account. In order to be eligible, the account must be open and not in arrears at the time of crediting points. You must be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program to earn Qantas Points. The bonus points depend on your choice of Rewards Program. Switches, upgrades and existing packaged cards are ineligible. This promotion is not available in conjunction with any other promotion. Existing Westpac customers who currently hold an Altitude Platinum or Altitude Black credit card, or who have held one in the last 12 months, are not eligible for this offer.
